Stage of New Education Policy (NEP)

Here are the four stages of My Nep Registration Policy (NEP)

Foundation Stage: Children aged 3 to 8 years have been included in the Foundation Stage, which covers three years of schooling and two years of pre-schooling, which includes classes I and II. Students will be taught and focused on the development of language skills and instruction in the Foundation Stage.

Preparatory Stage: A child aged 8 to 11 years has been included in the preparatory stage; children from classes 3 to 5 will be participating, and the teachers’ goal at this stage is to develop the children’s verbal and numerical skills. Secondary Stage: Children from class 9 to class 12 have been included in the second stage; formerly, children could take science, commerce, and arts, but this option has been removed; children in the second stage can now take science, commerce, and arts. You will be free to pursue further studies in any field of your choice. For example, if a youngster wants to study business and science or arts and commerce, he or she will be permitted to do so.

Middle Stage: Children in grades 6 to 8 will be involved in the middle stage. In the middle stage, children in grades 6 will be taught coding as well as receive vocational training and internship.


Students have been granted the most flexibility in picking their stream under the National Education Policy 2020; if they choose, they can study arts stream while studying science stream, or science stream while studying arts stream. The practice of selecting a stream has been eliminated under the My Nep Registration Policy (NEP). Each subject will be viewed as an additional course under the new education program, rather than the importance of athletics, dance, sculpting, music, and other activities.
