Udit Narayan (native 1st December 1955) is an Indian playback vocalist whose songs have been featured mostly in Hindi Movies. He has also sung in several other languages involving Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Odia,^{Bhojpuri, Nepali, Malayalam, Assamese , Bagheli & Maithili. Udit has won Four National Movie Grant^{& Five Film fare Grant with Twenty nominations among more others.}}

He got to sing with Mohammed Rafi in his Hindi playback launch in film Unees-Bees in 1980 & also with Kishore Kumar in the 1980s. Narayan finally create his mark in the 1988 picture Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak starring Aamir Khan & Juhi Chawla, his song “Papa Kehte Hain” was his notable show which received him his 1st Film fare Award in the 1980s & he fixed himself in Bollywood Playback Vocalist. He is the only male vocalist in the history of the Film fare Grant to have won in over 3 decades (the 1980s, 1990s, & 2000s).

In the 1990s he sung for a 1000 of songs involving Hindi & Nepali languages. Recognising his donation, King of Nepal Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev grant him with the Order of Gorkha Dakshina Bahu in 2001 after which for his donation to Indian theater & music, he was grant the Padma Shri in 2009,^{& in 2016 he was grant the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.^{& Chitragupta Cineyatra Samman 2015 for his donation to Bhojpuri cinema. As many as Twenty One of his tracks feature in BBC’s “Top Fourty Bollywood Sound tracks of all time.}}
